As we know, Turkic peoples (tribes) are very numerous and scattered not only in Asia, but also live in Europe. Moldavian Gagauz, for example, or Crimean Tatars. Besides, we should not forget that some part of Turkey is also in Europe from the geographical point of view. All this dispersion is due to the historically nomadic way of economy, characteristic for the majority of the original Turks.

Today I want to talk about the Argyns (Arguns). Most of this large Turkic tribe lives in Kazakhstan, they are one of the tribes that make up the Middle Juz. Despite the fact that today Kazakhs are quite a monolithic people, almost everyone knows very well what zhuz their ancestors were a part of and to which clans (tribes) they belonged.
Under Tamerlane’s great-grandson Abu-Said, the Argyns moved from the Juchi ulus to the Timurid Empire. It is still not clear exactly whether the Argyns come from the Turks or from the Mongols. One does not exclude the other, of course, but geneticists have established that almost 70% of the Argyns have DNA of Indo-Iranian peoples — Persians, Kurds, Assyrians, Baluchi.
DNA markers characteristic of Mongols are found in only 9% of Argyns. And 7% — haplogroup R1a1, characteristic of Slavs, Indians, as well as Kyrgyz and Afghan Pashtuns. And in this again there is nothing surprising, but this fact, rather, gives the opportunity to assume the origin of the Argyns exactly from the Turks.
On the other hand, the root “argun” and “argyn” are found on the territory of Mongolia, Buryatia (Buryats are a Mongolian people), in Altai. In addition, we should not forget that the related tribes of the Middle Juz — Kerey and Naiman — are exactly the descendants of the Mongolian tribes of Kereits and Naimans.
As for the Crimea, one of the most famous representatives of the Argyns was Tugai Bey. And in general, only four Crimean beys had the legal right to raise the Crimean khan on the koshma when he came into power. And so one of the four was always an argyn.

Tugai-bey.
The Bashkirs also have a clan association, which is a part of the Bure clan. This association is called Argyni. They by origin are exactly Kazakh Argyns, who just simply became obashkir. But they remember well that they are descendants of Kazakhs.
The same applies to the Khakass sub-ethnic groups — Kichig Argyn and Ulug Argyn. They are also descendants of Kazakh Argyns, who settled in the principality of the Yenisei Kyrgyz (late 16th-early 17th century).
